The ongoing 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has received well wishes from foreign leaders, political parties and organizations around the world.

The messages, praising the CPC’s leadership as well as China’s socio-economic development and global contributions, expressed confidence that the CPC would lead China to greater success.

The following is an edited summary of some of the messages.

Russian President – Vladimir Putin

We are very closely following the CPC congress, which is unprecedentedly open. We see difficulties as well as possibilities.

We have great cooperation plans with China in the areas of space, high-tech and energy. These are the bases for the future development of Russia-China relations.

On each issue we are always able to find a consensus and come to an agreement, which turns out to be beneficial to both countries. We are moving forward, instead of going round.

Singaporean Prime Minister – Lee Hsien Loong

The 19th CPC National Congress is a milestone event in the history of the CPC and China, and will set guidelines for China’s future road under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping. A prosperous and stable China is beneficial to the region and the world at large.
